Privacy Policy
At patchwerk.dev, accessible from https://patchwerk.dev, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by patchwerk.dev and how we use it.

You can change or withdraw that consent at any time (see “Analytics and session recording” below).

This data is used to create your user profile at our website. You can revoke this consent at any time from your profile page at our website or by sending us an email.

Log files
patchwerk.dev follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Cookies and web beacons
patchwerk.dev uses two categories of cookies. Essential cookies are required for the site to function — for example, keeping you signed in to your account and your dashboard. These are always active because the site cannot work without them. Non-essential cookies (analytics and session recording, described below) are only set once you accept them via the cookie banner. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Analytics and session recording
With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how visitors use Patchwerk so we can improve it. This includes product analytics (pages visited, features used, and similar interaction events) and, where enabled, session recording (a replay of interactions such as clicks and navigation, with input fields masked by default).
No analytics or session recording data is collected — and no analytics cookies are stored — until you accept via our cookie banner. If you decline, none of this runs. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of this page; declining or withdrawing stops all analytics collection going forward.
In the Patchwerk desktop app, product analytics is off by default and opt-in via Settings → Privacy. When you enable it and are signed in, these usage events (for example, which features you use and plugin export outcomes) are associated with your account so we can support you and improve reliability. We never collect your audio or project contents. Crash reports remain anonymous.
PostHog acts as our data processor. For details on how PostHog handles data, see PostHog's own privacy policy.
